6. Fifth phase: Implementation pathway 

The fifth and final phase of the WEFe Framework 2.0 is the implementation pathway. The phase consists of undertaking a participatory workshop. 

Stakeholder workshop on the implementation pathway 

After the evaluation of the intervention has been carried out, the next steps for the widespread adoption of the intervention in the focal area are to be planned. By considering the identified barriers and the key actors involved in implementation, practical strategies can be developed to overcome the challenges and promote a transformation of the focal area. The aim of holding a participatory workshop at this stage is to consolidate understanding and promote collaboration within the WEFe nexus, reflecting on the barriers, opportunities, and how the intervention can be integrated into the focal area and into more general relevant policy-making.


How should the workshop be organised? 

The stakeholders from previous phases should also participate in this one to sustain and consolidate the reflection on the WEFe nexus. To widen the scope of the discussion and align it with the specific objectives of each case, it may be beneficial to expand the group by including stakeholders from under-represented elements of the nexus, particularly emphasising the diverse knowledge. 

The workshop involves a collaborative exercise, divided into three parts, in which all interested parties are invited and encouraged to share their ideas and perspectives on the territory. 
 

Expected output 

A list of specific complementary measures to support the implementation pathways of the intervention, based on the barriers identified in the assessment phase, along with influence–interest stakeholder matrices.
