How to identify interventions by analysts? 

This option involves gathering information on interventions for the WEFe nexus using expert knowledge, online databases, grey literature, policy reports, and scientific literature. The interview questions (Section 1.1) can help assess whether identified interventions are suitable for the focal area, with a focus on potential trade-offs. For example, expanding energy infrastructure may impact water resources and food production, or efficient irrigation may increase water consumption due to rebound effects. This reflection should be conducted within the analyst team. 
 

This option is appropriate when resources are limited and there’s enough local knowledge. It may lack stakeholder legitimacy, so experts should consult stakeholders or research their solutions to mitigate this risk. It’s the least preferred option.
